A "hero" is a person who takes an action for the benefit of others when such action puts the hero's own interests at risk.

Examples:

• A hero jumps into freezing water to save a friend, or perhaps even an enemy who does not deserve to die.
• A bully takes advantage of a innocent. A hero confronts the bully for the benefit of the innocent.

Heroic actions will often warrant bonus Experience Point awards. Non-heroic quests will generate XP's and possibly result in financial or other rewards, but non-heroic quests generally have lower XP awards than heroic quests.
