Although one might not know it by talking to Goblins, the Goblin Empire hasn't exist for at least 15,000 years. The Goblin Empire, by all reports was a corrupt and wicked place filled with decadent luxury. The Empire was in a vast inland shallow marshy sea, but the Goblins wrecked the ecology of the land turning it into a barren desert. Goblin survive now by trade and by infesting forgotten and lonely places once occupied by others.

While they are still skilled at trade and commerce, goblin dependence on slavery during their period of greatness atrophied their engineering skills. Although goblins were great builders at one time, those days are long past. The Goblin Empire was at its height during the Age of Fairy.
