Humans are from the planet Earth. Lharna is a world far from Earth. Humans were seeded on Lharna some 1300 years ago by a terrible spell called the Androclysm.

A powerful fairy sorceress cast this spell to save her world from being overrun by undead extraplanar invaders. The spell instantly killed the undead on Lharna and at the same time transplanted many humans to Lharna.

Most of the humans were plucked away from times of terrible plagues (when the would be least missed). The Androclysm is considered the starting point for the Age of Man. The story of Renzo Lombardi is typical of the Androclysm experience.
